| Mets' Alou swears he'll come back strong
PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - To Moises Alou, making it back on the field after hernia surgery is not even in question. He's so confident in himself that his goal is to return in April.
That may be a bit too optimistic, something Alou admitted, because he just had the surgery three weeks ago tomorrow.
But there is one thing that Alou is sure of, and on this point he wouldn't bend. Once he returns, he said, opposing pitchers better watch out, because he intends to go on a tear.
"I know I always come back from things like this, and I come back strong," Alou, 41, said. "I don't just come back. I come back and I perform well, and I perform when it counts."

The condition of the two victims of the early-morning, March 18 Cortec Spray Technologies explosion, Aaron Merchant and Corey LaBonte, continues to be critical but stable, with both showing slight improvements. Both Merchant and LaBonte suffered burns from the explosion. Merchant was buried under the collapsed roof and also suffered broken bones. Merchant is a patient at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minn., and LaBonte is at Miller Dawn Medical Center in Duluth, Minn. The two were injured in an explosion that occurred at approximately 8:45 a.m. at 1300 S. River St. in Spooner, at the Cortec plant which fills cans with aerosols and paint solvents. Headquartered in St. Paul, Minn., Cortec is one of the leaders in using solvents for corrosion control.

More than 10,000 girls in Australia have joined more than two million pre-pubescent teens worldwide in the past month to play The Miss Bimbo Internet game where they compete against each other to earn cyber dollars. They then use the money to create the perfect bimbo by buying their characters cosmetic surgery including facelifts and breast implants or diet treatments to keep them "waif thin". They also compete to keep their bimbos in the game by taking them to the best nightclubs or dressing them in the most fashionable clothes and revealing lingerie. Users are set targets such as Level 11 "bigger is better – have a breast operation" 0 or Level 17 where gamers have to "catch the eye and love" of a billionaire on holiday.
